Dr. Lemuel Taylor Jr. was born in Prichard, Alabama. He is a product of the Mobile County Public School System and has dedicated over 50 years of loyal and faithful service to his community and country.
Dr. Taylor's educational experience included an associate degree from Alabama State Branch (now Bishop State Community College), a B.S. degree from Alabama State College (now Alabama State University), a M.A. from Iowa State University an Ed. D from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Alabama Interdenominational Seminary. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean
Conflict.
As an educator, Dr. Taylor has compiled a remarkable and distinguished career as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent. Dr. Taylor provided outstanding service and leadership to the Mobile County School System for 35 years. He retired in 1987.
Dr. Taylor was called as pastor of Highpoint Baptist Church in January 1991. His commitment, passion and vision were all established during his 15 years in pastoral service. He led Highpoint from mission status to membership in the Mobile Baptist Association and a vital spiritual force in the community.
He is a visionary and a kingdom-minded leader who initiated all kinds of programs and ministries to meet needs and provide opportunities for spiritual growth and development for the membership and community.
Dr. Taylor led the Highpoint Baptist Church to partnership with Volunteers of America and was awarded a $4.37 million HUD Grant for senior citizens low-income apartments. The three-story 58-apartment complex was opened in 2002.
He retired as senior pastor of Highpoint Baptist Chuch on December 31, 2005. In 2006, Highpoint Baptist Church conferred Pastor Emeritus status to Dr. Taylor for his exceptional pastoral leadership. In 2008, Dr. Taylor was inducted into the City of Prichard Leadership Hall of Fame.
Dr. Taylor is married to Ezonia Moore Taylor. He has four children and five grandchildren.
Dr. Taylor gives all praise and honor to the Almighty God for all that has been done in and through us in this ministry. To God be the Glory!

Min. Justin Walker is a native of Mobile, Al. Justin is a 2009 Graduate of Faith Academy where he lettered in Football and Track and Field. After graduation Justin attended the University of South Alabama where he was a member of the inaugural football team. Justin Graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2014 with a degree in Human Services. Justin is currently the Upward Bound Specialist at the University of South Alabama. As a child Justin always knew he was set apart and chosen. Not being able to do the things that his friends were doing at the time allowed him to understand that God had a purpose for his life. Which led him to become saved at 7 years of age. Later In life Justin rededicated his life to the lord at 18. On December 3rd of 2017 Justin answered his calling to Minister the word of God. Shortly after, His initial sermon was held on Feb 18 of 2018 entitled “I’m delighted to be here” Psalm 37:1-4.
Growing up Justin was always fascinated with music and the art of being a DJ. Most children wanted bikes and toys for Christmas, but Justin always wanted something that dealt with music and DJ’ing. Justin began his professional DJ career at the age of 18 in May 2009. This hobby which became a ministry, allows Justin to prophetically minister to others by spreading the word of God through song. In July of 2018 Justin was offered a DJ slot for local Gospel station 100.3 Hallelujah FM. Justin now has 2 slots on 100.3 Hallelujah FM which are Motivational Mondays every Monday at 10am and The Praise Break Mix every Friday at 5pm.

Walker has served in many capacities at Highpoint over the years and now serves as assistant teacher for the Millennials fulfillment hour class and Youth and Children’s Director.
On October 1, 2016 Justin’s life was changed forever! Justin married his beautiful bride Amber and obtained his favor from the Lord. Justin is a devoted Man of God; a loving husband of his high school sweetheart Amber and they have 1 son Justin jr.(11months) and are expecting another precious baby boy (Judah Walker) May of 2019.
